Michael Haney Selected to World Junior Championship Team
Posted on August 14th, 2011Congratulations to TCC swimmer Michael Haney who was selected to the 2011 World
Junior Championship Team. This is an international competition that will compete in
Lima, Peru on August 16th through August 21st. USA Swimming selected Michael based on his performance at Senior Nationals held at Stanford University on August
2-6. His time of 51.38 in the 100 meter free is his personal best time. ”This a incredible opportunity for Michael. TCC is very proud of him and this is a huge accomplishment,” explained a happy Head Coach John RIes.
Michael left for Peru on the last day of Junior Nationals with his fellow USA teammates.
