Michael Haney, 16, became the 3rd TCC swimmer to qualify for the 2012 U.S.A. Olympic Swimming Trials to be held next June in Omaha, Nebraska. Michael finished 3rd in the men’s 100 meter freestyle at the Swim Meet Of Champions with a sizzling time of 51.47. ”This was a very impressive swim. Michael was the youngest swimmer in the championship heat but he performed like a veteran. This is a special accomplishment and he should be very proud of his swim,” said head coach John Ries. Michael will join teammates Noelle Tarazona and Sonia Wang in Omaha next summer.
