These three will compete on January 9 & 10 at the Cerritos Swim Complex against all-star teams from British Columbia, Oregon, Pacific Northwest and Pacific Swimming.  Their selection was based on fast swimming at the Winter Age Group Champs and Senior Sectionals.  Coach Jennifer Tarazona will be the SCS 11-12 girls coach.

Sonia Breaks First National Record for The Claremont Club

Posted on December 22nd, 2009

At the 2009 short course Junior Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, Sonia Wang broke the national age-group record for the 11-12 girls 200 yard butterfly. Her time of 2:01.97 smashed the previous mark of 2:03.29 (from 2003). This was the fastest 200 yard butterfly ever swum in our country by an 11-12 year-old and is the first time a TCC swimmer has achieved this accomplishment. Congratulations Sonia!
